D&L Half Marathon Run and Walk - Updates

We are happy to report that as of today, the race is still on! With great optimism, we look forward to a cool, November half marathon on the D&L Trail, celebrating 10 years of this tradition and fundraiser.

For your lowest rate, register NOW before the July 16th price increase!

The race committee is hard at work identifying ways to host a race with your health in mind. The safety of our participants, volunteers, and the D&L community will always be our top priority.

To minimize crowding, we will not be offering an indoor meal for our 2021 D&L Heritage Half Marathon but we are working on other options.

We will continue to provide bus transportation for participants from finish line back to their cars at the starting line. However, we encourage participants to coordinate with other participants, friends, and/or family for drop-off and pick up strategies if you want to limit close contact on the busses from the finish to the start.

Even though things can change unexpectedly, we still hope to make our 10th Annual D&L Heritage Half Marathon our BEST ever. Reveling in what we hope will be more return to normalcy, a half marathon is a fitting celebration of our history on the trails, and our health and solidarity today.

Watch for updates in the coming months as we continue to consider race options that best address your health and safety as the current situation evolves. You can keep up with us and our plans online at race.delawareandlehigh.org, on Facebook, and via email.

Special Discount: Upon registering for the half marathon, you will receive a coupon code for $10 off registration to the D&L Trail Challenge to be held October 1 to November 1, 2021 – a great motivator for training for November 7th race day!

In the event that government or public health officials prohibit us from holding the event, we will offer you the opportunity to participate in the virtual D&L Trail Challenge, donate registration fees to the D&L National Heritage Corridor that supports beautiful trails that runners and walkers enjoy all year long, or to defer your registration for the 2022 race.
