I voluntarily choose to participate in exercise programs and related activities offered by the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC), D&L RaceFest, and event partners. I understand that participation may place increased demands on my heart, lungs, muscles, and skeletal system, and that medical emergencies, while rare, can occur. I accept these risks and acknowledge that I have been advised to seek medical evaluation before beginning any exercise program. In the event of illness or injury, I consent to emergency medical treatment, including transportation to a medical facility, and accept responsibility for any associated costs.
I understand that the benefits of exercise vary by individual and that no guarantees can be made regarding results. I assume all risks associated with my participation and release and hold harmless DLNHC, D&L RaceFest, event partners, and their respective employees, officers, directors, trustees, agents, volunteers, affiliates, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from my participation, including claims involving personal injury, property damage, or death.
I grant permission to DLNHC, D&L RaceFest, event partners, and the media to photograph, record, or interview me and to use those materials for promotional, educational, fundraising, publicity, or other organizational purposes. These materials may be used in print publications, websites, social media, advertising, news releases, donor communications, and other media formats.
I understand that I may request that photography, recording, or interviews stop at any time. I acknowledge that I have no right to inspect or approve the final use of these materials and that they become the property of the organizations or media involved. I waive any rights or claims related to their use and understand that I will not receive compensation for the creation, use, or distribution of these materials.
I certify that I am at least 18 years of age, or that I am the legal guardian of the participating minor, and that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Consent and Release.
