St. Luke's D&L RaceFest - Community Impact

Community Impact

Supporting our region. Minimizing our impact.

We’re thrilled to bring a full marathon to the Lehigh Valley and locate our beloved half marathon between two of its cities. We look forward to welcoming hundreds of visitors to our region and encourage you to support our sponsors as well as local businesses and attractions. And if you enjoyed racing on the D&L Trail, we encourage you to check out other parts of it as we work to connect it 165 miles from Wilkes-Barre to Bristol just north of Philadelphia.

We are committed to minimizing impact to our neighbors while our racers enjoy their memorable day. We will be posting traffic updates and detours for Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton in advance of the race. We will also be notifying all residents and businesses along the race course. And we will be working with major navigation platforms to notify them of road closures on race day.

With a majority of both courses on the D&L Trail, we will simultaneously provide our runners and walkers with a scenic, safe and friendly course while keeping participants off roads as much as possible.

If you are watching and see that any of our racers need medical assistance, please call 911 immediately. If you have questions about street or trail closures, contact or office at [email protected].
