Start Time: Half Marathon Run and Walk: 8 a.m
Reminder: It’s daylight savings day, so don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour. You will get an extra hour to rest!
Yes, there is a 4.5 hour time limit. Ability to run a 14 minute mile or walk an 18/20 minute mile is recommended to complete the half marathon race within the allotted time.
If you plan to do any running during the race you need to register for the run, not the walk. This includes interval runners. The Walking category is for participants that will be walking only.
It is a timed half marathon (13.1 miles) for participants who will be walking the entire course–no running allowed. You must maintain a 18/20-minute mile pace to finish the course within the 4.5-hour time limit.
Registration is non-refundable.
Yes, registration is limited to 1,000 total participants—includes Half Marathon Runners and Walkers.
Pick up your race bib, shirt, and SWAG bag at Northern Lehigh HS, 1 Bulldog Lane, Slatington, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 2. There will be race day packet pick-up from 6-7:15am.
Starting Line will be at the Northern Lehigh High School complex. Runners and walkers will have use of the gymnasium at Northern Lehigh High School prior to the race. Gym doors open at 6:00 a.m. Restrooms are available. Participants must be at the starting line at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the race.
Yes, there will be ample drink/aide stations along the course. Some, if not all, the stations will include an electrolyte drink.
Yes, shuttle buses will be provided to return all race participants from Finish to their vehicles at the Start.
There is no cost to use the shuttle buses.
No, shuttle service will not be available to transport friends and family to the Finish Line on Race Day. Please see our “Spectator” page for parking near the finish area.
Yes, parking is available in Northampton at several lots within walking distance of the finish line. Look for signs and volunteers to guide you to available parking.
The trail surface is crushed limestone.
No, strollers are not allowed.
While we encourage people to use the D&L Trail to walk and run with dogs normally, dogs are not allowed on the half marathon route.
Yes, there will be drinks and fruit at the starting line for all registrants–all you need is a bib!
Yes, food and drinks will be available at the Hungarian Hall, a 1/4 mile walk from the finish line. If in a hurry, Grab-n-Go food will also be available. Volunteers and signs will guide you. This will be for registered runners, walkers and volunteers only – at no additional charge. Bib numbers or volunteer shirts will be necessary to eat/drink at the Hungarian Hall or to receive Grab-n-Go.
Pretzel City Sports will post results immediately at the race. They will also post the results electronically within 3 days following the race.
The age limit for registration is 13 years of age with parental permission.
Yes, all finishers completing the race within the allotted time of 4.5-hours will receive a finisher’s medal.
Awards will be given to the top three overall winners (male and female) and the top three male and female finishers in the following categories:

Please note: Overall Finisher Award recipients will not be included in age category finisher awards.
**To be eligible for the Walk Awards, you Must walk the entire course–no running allowed. If you will be doing any running at all, please register as a runner.
The honor system will be used. This is not a judged race walk.
Where is the Finish Line?
The Finish Line is located in Canal Street Park, 16th and Canal Streets, Northampton, PA. Water is available at the finish line. Food and other beverages included in your race registration are available at the Hungarian Hall, located a short walk from the finish line.
